One of my favourite sweet treats

Chocolate Crunch Cookies

The wind is howling, the fire is roaring, and my taste buds are crying for something sweet to go along with my Snow Day tea from Davids Tea.

These Chocolate Crunch Cookies were featured in the LCBO's Food & Drink magazine some years ago. The recipe originated with Planet Coffee in Ottawa. I cut the recipe out and have made them dozens of times since then. These cookies are a super way to use up the last of a box of cereal, or a great reason to buy a new box if you're out. I love the crunch of the Rice Krispies, the texture of the oatmeal and the sweetness of the chocolate chips. I don't usually make them quite as big as 3 tablespoons, but they need to be a decent size. Perfect with a cup of coffee or tea.

I cooked mine for about 15-17 minutes on a Pampered Chef stoneware bar pan.

Verdict

I've never met anyone who didn't like these. I think they will be among your favourite cookies, too!

These Chocolate Crunch Cookies sound like the ultimate cozy treat for a snowy day! The mix of Rice Krispies, oatmeal, and chocolate chips is such a great combo. I’d love to pair them with a hot cup of Honduras coffee for the perfect afternoon snack!
